KS4 Mathematics

At Key Stage 4, pupils at Mesaieed International School are placed into a teaching group based on their previous performance at Key Stage 3 as well as other formal measures of potential.

From September 2017, pupils entering Year 10 will embark upon a new IGCSE Mathematics course which aims to significantly challenge and strengthen the mathematical ability of pupils at all levels. This reflects the current practice and changes in the UK with respect to GCSE examinations.

Grades in Mathematics are no longer awarded as letters A*-G and are instead graded numerically as 9-1 with grade 9 representing performance at a level above the old A* grade.
