Key Stage 4 PSHE
At MIS our aim is to provide a balanced education that includes Personal, Social and Health Education issues. To broaden the awareness of students’ to wider issues and explore life skills that will be useful and support their studies. To give students’ confidence in their own ideas and abilities. Students will gain confidence through debate and will start to develop the skills to communicate and present their opinions and ideas.
In KS4 there will be four days dedicated to PSHE every year when students are off timetable and will spend the day exploring topics and engaging in activities that interest and inspire them. This will be a combination of classroom lessons (theory and practical) or assemblies with the year group or whole key stage group. Lessons will be a combination of individual, pair or group work depending on the theme or activity.
