Key Stage 5 - English Literature
Mesaieed International School, we follow the Cambridge International AS and A Level Literature in English
of these components is a one year course, but completion of the A2 is dependent
upon the completion of AS. During the course, students are introduced to some
of the most compelling works of our literary heritage and invited to assess
them from differing critical perspectives. The context in which works are
written, and the authors concerns regarding the human condition are also
evaluated. The effect of language, and the power of the pen through history, is
analysed; coherent, articulate responses are structured by students which are
rooted in the text.
