 Year 7

Year 7

The majority of year 7 pupils will have participated in a transition day in the Secondary school, familiarising them with the new routines, structures and importantly meeting the members of staff who will be teaching them.

The pupils will experience a diverse curriculum challenging them both academically and physically, preparing them for IGCSE studies when they reach key stage 4. Additional support and guidance will be provided if necessary enabling each individual to reach their potential in all aspects of their educational journey.

The success of pupils relies on the positive involvement of three parties: the teaching staff, pupils and parents/carers of the children. Strong communication links need to be established to enable information to flow between these three parties. Pivotal to this process is the student’s form tutor, who will monitor every aspect of the pupil’s school experience, liaising with parents/carers on a regular basis in order to celebrate success whilst being proactive in addressing any issues that may arise.

We have high aspirations for all our pupils, aiming to develop resilient, respectful and functional adults who have the capacity to contribute to society.

We will do whatever we can to ensure they have an enjoyable and fruitful experience at our wonderful school.
