Key Stage 4 - Year 10
I am delighted to welcome
our students to next stage of their education, we aim to build on the
foundations they have laid in key stage 3. Year 10 is a very demanding year for students as they embark on
their two-year GCSE courses. The year ahead will challenge and stretch them as
they will find that staff expectations will be greater than they have
experienced before, this is in order for them to get the best results possible.
We want all of our
students to thrive in key stage 4, which means a focus not only on academic
success, but also on taking full advantage of the wide range of opportunities
available at Mesaieed International School.
The year also provides an opportunity for
students to start planning for their future, with a variety of opportunities
available to ensure they leave school set up for further education or the
workplace. Students will participate in a number of activities to help
with this process which will include Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths
days, practice interviews and careers advice.
In order to ensure that each student achieves
their best it is important that home and school work together to support them.
I am confident that each student has the drive and ability to achieve well in
their first GCSE year, which will set themselves up to succeed at the end of
Year 11. It is also important that they realise their full potential and put in
the effort required to achieve this success.
Most of all we look
forward to seeing them continue to develop into confident, happy young people
who have all the tools they need to flourish in life.
Mr. W. Latif
